Caruso - Mini Album

A whole "mini album" of recordings made almost entirely with the Yamaha PSR-GX76 keyboard and some percussion (and one or two guest appearances from Hammerhead). Recorded at Oak Run in Raleigh NC, Spring 2005. Caruso's first digital release and first concept album! (The concept is it's an album).

The Friends and Friends of Friends project is a 6” X 9”, 192 page, full color, offset printed book with accompanying cdrom containing contributed visuals and audio from around the world. The work and music presented in this volume was collected through a simple network of human connections: friends and friends of friends. The project relied on email and word-of-mouth to build the grouping seen here in the book.

Projector7, LLC created Creative Capitalism to produce and disseminate creative projects for artists, musicians, and film makers outside the traditional medium specific methods of delivery such as theatres, galleries, and record companies. “Friends and Friends of Friends is hopefully the first in a long list of publications,” says Peter Quinn of Projector7, LLC. “Our goal is to create a vehicle for aesthetic hybridization.”

Caruso - Kitten

A demo that was sent out in 2003, and then sold as a tour CDR during a series of shows in the UK in April of 2004. Most of it was recorded in 2003 at Swain/Hargett St. in downtown Raleigh. Tracks 5, 6, 7 and 8 feature Beth Varden, Rob Girardi, and/or David Bergander (and were partly recorded in Baltimore MD).

Caruso - Moon

A second CDR demo collecting recordings from May 2001 - December 2002. Sent out to about 4 people this time around. Recorded at the Wildwoods, New Bern Avenue, and a song or two at Swain/Hargett. 

"Lighthouse" is by Windy and Carl.
"Peaching" and "Oh, Ian!" feature some noodling from Damon Tutunjian and Rob Laakso (and were partly recorded in NYC).

"I'm Watching This Guy" was played on a Feburary 12th and June 6th 2002 broadcast by legendary UK DJ John Peel.  Original artwork was a photo of the World Trade Center, but was changed after 9/11.

Recorded from October 2000 - May 2001 at The Wildwoods of Lake Johnson (with technical assistance from Russ Birch and Hammerhead the drum machine). "Dreams Are Of The Body" is a His Name Is Alive cover.  Available on cassette or 50 track CDR.

Orchestra songs were recorded on 4-track and boombox in Chicago IL and Raleigh NC from 1994-1997. "Renee Died/Friday" is a Smog cover and a Marine Girls cover, respectively.  Lisa McCool sings on "Descha" and "Renee Died".  

Ontario is Jenny Merrigan and Matt D.  Recorded in Chicago IL on 4-track and boombox 1995-1996.

Eric plays drums on "Eric Instrumental". Artwork artist unknown.
